A word from our President

"We aim to provide the best experience for our athletes. Therefore, we carefully select our roster based on logistical and developmental needs. We ensure that each player can develop their physical, cognitive and social skills during their time with the us. 

We want to be open and transparent before you invest in us, so the roster has two players for each position, with space for two, two-way players. The total roster size is 30 players to play 28-32 games. This structure allows us to optimize your performance, providing the coaching staff with versatility and adaptability on the field. Roster spots are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. Interested individuals are encouraged to register as soon as possible to ensure a spot on the team. 

To keep the number of position players low and optimize playing time, we require position players to attend most games. Of the 18 position players, the team aims to have at least 13-14 attend each game. 

Pitchers are required to pitch in at least two games per week. The workload for the summer will be based on the player's spring workload and developmental needs. Regardless, we need all of our pitchers to be available at least twice a week. The coaching staff will set the pitching rotation in advance to accommodate any training or throwing programs that players are on. 

Players are expected to make a commitment to the team throughout the summer. If you register, kindly ensure that you can attend games and fulfill your role as a team member. Thank you for considering the Long Beach Legends."
