Michael Farris has been announced Manager of the Orange County Legends for the 2020 season.

Farris is currently an assistant coach at Golden West College where he works with outfielders and hitters under Head Coach Bert Villarreal. Before his time at Golden West, Farris coached two seasons at Los Alamitos High School.

Farris received 1st Team All-Empire League honors as a player at Golden West where he was a two-year starter at third base for the Rustlers. He then moved on to play at UC Riverside where he received All-Big West Honorable mention recognition in 2016.

Michael Farris is no stranger to the Legends, he played a key role on the 2014 Legends team that finished 31-10 and won the Orange County Collegiate League Championship.

Coach Rodriguez on the hire, “Michael has walked the path that many of our players are currently navigating through. He’s a local guy, he’s been in our program, he started at a JC and worked his way to the highest level of college baseball. He’s successful everywhere he goes and he does it with class. Michael embodies what it means to be a Legend. I can’t think of anyone better to help the guys on the OC Legends this summer”.

Help welcome Michael back to the Legends family!

The first pitch of the 2020 summer is set for Saturday, May 30th.
