The fireworks for the 4th of July sparked early as the teams combined for 19 runs.

Kenji Pallares (UCLA) and Matthew Piotrowski (Loyola Marymount) each blasted a home run. Gabriel Arellano (Chico State) and Tyler Attal (Bates College) each contributed two RBI.

Chad Ragland (Delta State) led the way for the Shepherds with two RBI.

The Legends will be back in action on the 4th of July in a doubleheader against the California Cage Rats.

The Shepherds host the Solana Beach Redbirds on Sunday.
